THE TAPROOT READING SERIES brings noteworthy writers into the Elliot Park Neighborhood in Minneapolis to share their work.

The Taproot Reading Series was founded in 2005 by Gary Dop to present some of our region's best writers to the Elliot Park Neighborhood and to provide a unifying event for the diverse communities in our distinct downtown Minneapolis neighborhood. 

Taproot emphasizes the importance of the deep roots of each generation, which inevitably provide for the growth of subsequent generations; our audiences, from college students to retirees, reflect the heart of this intention.  

Thus far, readings have been held in the Sky Room at the top of the Augustana Retirement Community building, which overlooks downtown Minneapolis.
